Rear extension re-build, Lewes Completion: 2014
This half-sunken rear-extension replaces an existing room on stilts, with the ground floor infilled to create an additional family room. Technical challenges included building on an existing concrete slab and using salvaged material. The use of locally sourced sweet-chestnut cladding ties it all together however and contrasts with the existing red-brick house.
