Urban garden, Lewes Completion: 2013
It was a case of 'wanting in all' in this garden the size of a postage stamp. With the help of Simon Scott Landscaping we replaced a sea of concrete slabs with a deceptively large deck, a deep vegetable planter and steps down to a round lawn surrounded by herbs and berries.
In the north-facing front garden, the geometric pattern of square oak steps, interspersed within a carpet of minuscule evergreen leaves (known as 'mind-your-own-business'), gives the garden a calming, tactile and inviting feel.
